About
A simple browser extension that allows users to extract a report of field usage in tables and charts. The extension runs in the browser, checks whether a Salesforce page is open, then calls the Salesforce Tooling API to retrieve the list of sObjects and their definitions. Users are prompted to select an sObject and optional fields, and clicking "Process Selections" opens a tab containing the report with statistics for the selected sObjects and fields.

What the extension does
Extracts field usage reports displayed as tables and charts
Checks for an open Salesforce page before running
Calls the Salesforce Tooling API to get sObject list and definitions
Prompts user for sObject and optional field selection
'Process Selections' button opens a report tab with usage statistics
Does not collect, sell, or share personal or sensitive user data
The extension works entirely within your existing browser session. When you open a Salesforce page and click the extension icon, it calls the Salesforce Tooling API using your current authenticated session. No separate login, no API key, no connected app to configure. You select an sObject from the list the API returns, optionally narrow down to specific fields, and click 'Process Selections'. A new tab opens with the report. The whole process takes under a minute for most objects.
“I used it before a cleanup sprint and found 40-odd fields on our Account object with under 5% population. That alone justified the whole exercise.”
— K. Tanaka, Salesforce Admin, mid-size manufacturing firm
